Sample list block

Here you can adjust the tuning of a key group or note number, or specify the range of

notes for a key group.

A Kg/Note ﬁeld

Shows the key groups or note numbers of the selected program.

B Sample ﬁeld

Shows the samples that are assigned to each key group or note number.

C Span Low/Hi ﬁelds

Select the key range of the key group. The Low ﬁeld speciﬁes the lowest note number,

and the Hi ﬁeld speciﬁes the highest note number. These ﬁelds will be displayed only if

a key group program is selected.

D Tune ﬁeld

Adjusts the tuning of each key group or note number. You can adjust this in a range of

–36.00–+36.00 semitones, in steps of semitones or cents. If you press the [WINDOW]

key in this ﬁeld, the Program Modulation popup window will appear.

E Pitch ﬁeld

Selects one of the following to specify how the pitch of the sample will be affected by the

note number.

TRACK ..................The pitch will change according to the note number.

CONST ..................The same pitch will sound for any note number in the note range.

F Poly ﬁeld

Speciﬁes the maximum polyphony of the key group or note number, in a range of 1–64.

G Mute group ﬁeld

Selects either OFF or 1–64 as the mute group to which this key group or note number will

be assigned. Key groups or note numbers assigned to the same mute group will not sound

simultaneously.

■ Specifying the key range of a key group (Key group programs)

Here’s how to specify the key range (span) of the key group by adjusting the Span/High

parameters.

1. Select the key group program that you want to edit, and access the Pitch page.

2. Move the cursor to the Span Low ﬁeld of the key group whose range you want

to adjust, and turn the [JOG] dial to select the note number for the lowest note

of the range.

3. Move the cursor to the SPAN High parameter, and turn the [JOG] dial to select

the note number for the highest note of the range.

4. If you want to make option settings for the key group, move the cursor to the

Span Low or High ﬁeld and press the [WINDOW] key.
